Under the direction of artist and educator Henry E. Price, teachers in the Caddo Parish School system are a dedicated and talented group. Mr. Price has been an integral part of the northwest Louisiana art scene for numerous years, and serves as the President of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) Board.

Each year, the parish has about 75 teachers in art education and about a third of them will exhibit this summer. Artists exhibiting include Shirlene Alexander, Curtis Bias and Marabella Dunn, as well as Henry Price.  “We are excited about teachers having the opportunity of displaying their work in a museum setting for the public to appreciate,” according to museum curator Nita Cole. The show will offer a variety of acrylic paintings on canvas, watercolor on paper, mixed media and ceramics.

The Caddo Parish Educators Art exhibit will be on display on the West Wing gallery until July 29, 2016. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, between Hearne and Jewella Streets.
